Kate Wendt is a fine artist whose work explores the intersection of movement, color, and emotion. With a professional background spanning 38 years as a Commercial Interior Designer for major architectural firms, she brings a deep understanding of structure, balance, and spatial awareness to her painting practice.

From an early age, Wendt was captivated by the expressive power of movement. This fascination deepened through her long practice of dance which has become central to her artistic language. Her paintings harness the inherent properties of paint itself, allowing gesture, flow, and layering to communicate feeling and momentum. Vibrant hues and organic forms invite the viewer into an immersive visual experience that echoes the cadence of dance while offering moments of stillness and reflection.

Guided by a lifelong relationship with movement and informed by design and architecture, Wendt translates rhythm into fluid, abstract compositions that feel both energetic and meditative. Her work remains expressive and intuitive yet grounded in an underlying sense of order. Each painting becomes a visual poem,

an invitation to experience color and motion as a living, breathing force.
